be a kid, without the worries of disturbing others.
is filled with people who have the patience and care about your child's
feelings. We know it's not always easy having your
child's hair cut, that is why we take the time to show your child
that it can be a FUN experience! Our goal is to have our families leave here with a positive attitude towards the good experience they had with us. |

The concept of
began in 1998 by a young woman, Lisa Valentin. She had begun her career
in 1992 when she graduated from high school.That summer she received her cosmetologist license and began to work full time in a hair salon. By the fall she had registered for Berkeley College to begin working on her business marketing and management degree. She received her Associates degree there and proceeded on to The Fashion Institute of Technology to finish her Bachelors Degree. Through out her college years she worked in hair salons until she finally found her niche. She was good at dealing with children. From 1995-1997 she worked in a hair salon that had a small section dedicated to children. This section was always overwhelmingly busy. She learned a lot about the needs and wants of children when getting their hair cut. When she moved out of the area in 1997, she realized there were no children's hair salons in Ocean County. Right away she began to scout out the best location. That is when she found the shopping center dedicated to children. It had Toys R Us and Kids R Us already there! She opened in 1998 and has a growing business there ever since. |
